Sérgio Dias Silva (Porto, 1982) é arquiteto, licenciado em Arquitetura pela FAUP (2007). É estudante do Programa de Doutoramento em Arquitetura da FAUP e desenvolve atualmente Tese de Doutoramento sobre o Programa das Casas Económicas do Estado Novo (1933-1974), sob a orientação do Professor Doutor Rui Jorge Garcia Ramos, com bolsa atribuída pela Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia. Desde a licenciatura colaborou com Paulo Providência (2007-2008), Manuel Fernandes de Sà (2008-2010) e MVCC Arquitetos (2015-2016) e foi Adjunto de Apoio Técnico na Parque Escolar, EPE (2010-2013). Em 2013 fundou com Rodrigo Cruz e Pedro Monteiro o coletivo e.studio. Os seus interesses de investigação focam-se principalmente no desenvolvimento da arquitetura portuguesa na primeira metade do século XX, suas influências e origens culturais. É membro da equipa do Projeto de Investigação “Mapa da Habitação: Reflexão crítica sobre a arquitetura habitacional apoiada pelo Estado em Portugal (1910-1974)”, financiado pela FCT.
Sérgio Dias Silva (Porto ,1982) is an Architect with a Degree in Architecture from FAUP (2007). He is a student at FAUP’s Phd Programme and is currently developing a Doctoral Thesis on the Affordable Houses Programme of the Estado Novo regime in Portugal (1933-1974), under the supervision of Professor Rui Jorge Garcia Ramos and with a Studentship of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). Since graduation he has collaborated with Paulo Providência (2007- 2008), Manuel Fernandes de Sá (2008-2010) and MVCC Arquitetos (2015-2016) and was a Technical Assistant at Parque Escolar, EPE (2010-2013). In 2013, he founded the e.studio collective with Rodrigo Cruz and Pedro Monteiro. His research interests focus mainly on the development of Portuguese architecture in the first half of the 20th century, its influences and cultural origins. He is currently a member of the Investigation Project “Mapping Public Housing: A critical review of the State-subsidised residential architecture in Portugal (1910-1974)”, with a grant from the FCT.
