Luís Ferro é um arquitecto sediado em Évora, onde exerce actividade professional desde 2012 (Estúdio Quimera). É investigador do Centro de Estudos de Arquitectura e Urbanismo (FAUP) e do Centro de História da Arte e Investigação Artística (UÉ) e aluno do Programa de Doutoramento em Arquitectura da Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto (PDA/FAUP). Entre Julho de 2015 e Julho de 2017, coordenou o projecto de investigação Lugares Sagrados: as Cubas da Kûra de Beja (Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, n.139754). Foi Monitor (2012-2013) e Assistente Convidado (2013-2015) do Departamento de Arquitectura da Universidade de Évora, tendo fundado o grupo Cinema-fora-dos Leões da Universidade de Évora em 2013. Publicou artigos e apresentou comunicações em Portugal, Espanha, França, Inglaterra, Finlândia, Marrocos e USA. Colabora pontualmente com a Direcção Regional de Cultura do Alentejo e a Fundação Eugénio de Almeida na organização de eventos culturais e formações educativas nos domínios da Arquitectura e do Cinema. Venceu o Prémio Estágios em Portugal e no Mundo (2014) e o Prémio Arquitectos Agora (2016), ambos organizados pela Secção Regional Sul da Ordem dos Arquitectos.
Luís Ferro (b.1986) is an architect based in Évora (Portugal), where he practises his professional activities since 2012 (Estudio Quimera). He is a researcher of The Center for Studies in Architecture and Urbanism (CEAU/FAUP), Center for Art History and Artistic Research (CHAIA/UÉ), and a student of the PhD Program in Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture from the University of Porto (PDA/FAUP). Between 2015 and 2016, he was the coordinator of the research project entitled Sacred Places: Cubas from the Kûra of Beja (Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, n.139754). Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture from the University of Évora between 2013 and 2015. He has published several papers and has presented communications in Portugal, Spain, France, England, Finland and USA. Collaborates with the Regional Directorate of Culture of Alentejo and Eugénio de Almeida Foundation in the organization of exhibitions and educational activities since 2012. He won the Prémio Estágios em Portugal e no Mundo (Portuguese Order of Architects) in 2014 and the Prémio Arquitectos Agora 2016 (Portuguese Order of Architects).
