Arquitecto pela Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto (FAUP). Pós-graduação em 2013/14, Curso de Estudos Avançados em Património Arquitectónico na FAUP onde desenvolve actualmente a tese de doutoramento.
Exerce actividade na Câmara de Guimarães, como arquitecto municipal, desde 2001. Até 2009 integrou a equipa responsável pela reabilitação do centro de Guimarães, cujo centro histórico é, desde 2001, Património Cultural da Humanidade da UNESCO. Ali desenvolveu, simultaneamente, gestão urbanística, planeamento urbano, projecto (de edifícios e de espaços públicos), acompanhamento de obra.
Entre 2009 e 2013 foi o responsável técnico pela criação e implementação da equipa municipal MAPa2012 com a missão de testar hipóteses de um prolongamento integrado e coerente, do processo de reabilitação iniciado no centro histórico de Guimarães e sua zona tampão (120 ha.) ao restante município (24.100 ha.).
Em 2014 regressa ao “centro histórico”. Desde finais de 2017 é o coordenador técnico do Gabinete de Couros. Sítios Patrimoniais, onde desenvolve a candidatura do alargamento da área classificada como Património da Humanidade à Zona de Couros, mantendo sempre a actividade de projecto e obra, tanto de edifícios como de espaços públicos.
É regularmente convidado a partilhar a sua experiência profissional. Até à data realizou mais de cinquenta comunicações, entre congressos, conferências, encontros e palestras em mais de dez países.

Practices, as municipal architect, since 2001 in the Câmara de Guimarães. Until 2009 was member of the team responsible for the rehabilitation of the centre of Guimarães, whose historical centre has been, since 2001, listed as UNESCO´s Site. Throughout he’s experience, has developed, simultaneously, urban management, urban planning, architectural design (buildings and public spaces) and construction supervision.
Between 2009 and 2013 was the technical responsible for the creation and implementation of the team MAPa2012 with the mission of testing hypotheses of an integrated and coherent extension of the rehabilitation process begun in the historical centre of Guimarães and its buffer zone (120 ha) to the whole municipality (24,100 ha.).
In 2014 returned to the "historical centre". Since the end of 2017 has been assigned as the technical coordinator of the office where it is being developed the candidacy of the extension of the UNESCO’s classified area to the Zona de Couros, always maintaining the activity of architectural design and construction, both of buildings and public spaces.
He is regularly invited to share his professional experience. To date it has held over fifty communications, including congresses, conferences, meetings and lectures in more than ten countries.
