Sérgio Filipe Pinto Amorim (Porto, 1974) conclui a Licenciatura na Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto (FAUP) em 2000, com a Prova Final intitulada “Escola de Chicago e o Discurso da Fachada". Na Faculdade de Arquitectura e Artes da Universidade Lusíada Norte (FAAULN-Porto) obtém o grau de Mestre em 2009, com a dissertação "Pela Dissolução do Muro - Do Plan Paralysé ao Plan Libre" e, em 2018, o grau de Doutor, com a tese “Depois da Chamada à Ordem: do objecto estereotómico na forma arquitectónica contemporânea”.
Desde 2000 que exerce a actividade de arquitecto, fundando em 2005, em conjunto com o arquitecto Nuno Antunes Lopes, a NLSA – Arquitectos Associados.
Entre 2000 e 2002 foi Monitor de Projecto II na FAUP. Na FAAULN-Porto, foi Assistente Estagiário de Arquitectura I e Arquitectura II, entre 2002 e 2009, e Assistente de Projecto I, Projecto II e Projecto III, entre 2009 e 2018. Desde 2018 é Professor Auxiliar na FAAULN-Porto, leccionando no primeiro ciclo de estudos Ergonomia Aplicada e, no segundo ciclo, Urbanismo e Projecto III.
Desde 2008 que é membro do CITAD (Centro de Investigação em Território, Arquitetura e Design), no Grupo de Investigação Teoria História e Pensamento Interdisciplinar Contemporâneo (GI 3). Os interesses de investigação centram-se na Arquitectura, no contexto específico de como o pensamento fenomenológico estrutura e participa no processo de conformação/significação da forma arquitectónica, no âmbito do projecto de arquitectura.
Sérgio Filipe Pinto Amorim (Porto, 1974) completed his degree at the Faculty of Architecture - University of Porto (FAUP) in 2000, with the Final Exam entitled “Chicago School and the Façade Speech”. At Faculty of Architecture and Arts at the Lusíada University - North (FAAULN-Porto), he obtained a Master's degree in 2009, with the dissertation "For the Dissolution of the Wall - From Plan Paralysé to Plan Libre" and, in 2018, the Ph.D. degree, with the dissertation "After Rappel à l'Ordre: the stereotomic object in contemporary architectural form".
Since 2000 he has been working as an independent architect, founding in 2005, with architect Nuno Antunes Lopes, the NLSA - Associated Architects.
From 2000 to 2002 he was Monitor of Project II at FAUP. At the FAAULN-Porto, he was Trainee Assistant of Architecture I and Architecture II, from 2002 to 2009, and Assistant of Project I, Project II and Project III, from 2009 to 2018. Since 2018 he is Assistant Professor at the FAAULN-Porto, teaching in the first cycle Applied Ergonomics and, in the second cycle, Urbanism and Project III.
Since 2008 he is a member of CITAD (Center for Research in Territory, Architecture and Design) in the Research Group Theory History and Contemporary Interdisciplinary Thinking (GI 3). His research focus in architecture, mainly the specific context of how phenomenological thinking structures and participates in the process of conformation/meaning of architectural form within the architectural project.
