Maria Isabel Mendonça (Seia, 1994). Mestre em Arquitetura pela Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade do Porto (FAUP 2017), com a dissertação “Viver num espaço de fronteira. O território e o povoamento no Alto Côa”. Doutoranda e bolseira da Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia com a tese “A raia de Ribacôa. Dialéticas da organização do povoamento e da construção da paisagem rural”, orientada por Marta Oliveira (CEAU-FAUP) e coorientada por Virgílio Borges Pereira (FLUP e CEAU-FAUP).
No âmbito dos seus estudos (MIARQ-FAUP), recebeu os prémios Ricardo Spratley 2017, Viana de Lima 2016-2017, Rotary Club Porto-Douro e duas bolsas de mérito (referentes aos anos letivos de 2015-2016 e 2016-2017) atribuídas pelo Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Ensino Superior.
Desde 2019, é investigadora do Centro de Estudos de Arquitetura e Urbanismo (CEAU), da Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade do Porto (FAUP), no grupo de investigação Arquitetura: Teoria, Projeto, História (ATPH).

Dialéticas da organização do povoamento e da construção da paisagem rural", tutored by Marta Oliveira (CEAU-FAUP) and Virgílio Borges Pereira (FLUP e CEAU-FAUP).
Received the following prizes when doing the Master in Architecture: Prémio Ricardo Spratley (2017), Prémio Viana de Lima (2016-2017), Prémio Rotary Club Porto-Douro (2017) and two merit scholarships (2015-2016 and 2016-2017) from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education.
Since 2019, is a research fellow at the Studies Center of Architecture and Urbanism from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (CEAU-FAUP) at the group "Architecture: Theory, Project, History".
