Mariana Marques da Silva (Aveiro, 1990). Arquitecta.
Concluiu o Mestrado Integrado na Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto em 2015, com a dissertação “MANI‐POLIS‐ACÇÃO: As mãos activas da cidade”, sob a orientação do Professor Doutor Nuno Grande. Na mesma faculdade, concluiu o Curso de Estudos Avançados em Património Arquitectónico em 2016 e ingressou no Programa de Doutoramento em Arquitectura. Actualmente no perfil “Arquitectura: Teoria, Projecto e História”, desenvolve a tese intitulada “A rua sobre o Rio da Vila: mediação entre higiene pública e urbanismo na cidade do Porto através do desenho”, sob a orientação da Professora Doutora Marta Oliveira (CEAU‐FAUP) e do Professor Doutor Paulo Providência (CES‐UC), com bolsa atribuída pela Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia.
Integrou a equipa editorial da Revista Dédalo #9 Place:less (2011‐2012) e completou um ano de intercâmbio na Universidade Técnica de Darmstadt (2012‐2013). Colaborou em projectos de arquitectura e construção com o colectivo Raumlabor em Berlim e Gotemburgo (2014) e, no Porto, exerceu entre 2016 e 2019, a prática profissional como colaboradora no desenvolvimento de projectos de unidades hospitalares, clínicas e hoteleiras.
Em 2019, integrou como investigadora no Centro de Estudos de Arquitectura e Urbanismo, no grupo de investigação “Arquitectura: Teoria, Projecto e História”.
Mariana Marques da Silva (Aveiro, 1990), M.Arch., Architect. Graduated with an Integrated Master’s Degree from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Porto (FAUP) in 2015, with the thesis “MANI‐POLIS‐ACTION: active hands of the city”, under the guidance of Professor Nuno Grande, Ph.D. At the same faculty, completed the Advanced Studies Course in Architectural Heritage (CEAPA) in 2016 and entered the Doctoral Programme in Architecture (PDA). Currently in the study group “Architecture: Theory, Project and History”, developing the Ph.D. thesis entitled “The street over the tributary: mediation between public hygiene and urbanism through drawing in the city of Porto”, under the Ph.D. Supervisors Professor Marta Oliveira (CEAU‐FAUP) and Professor Paulo Providência (CES‐UC), with a grant awarded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
Former editor of Dédalo Magazine #9 Place:less (2011‐2012), completed one year abroad of exchange studies at the Technical University of Darmstadt (2012‐2013). Collaborated in architectural and construction projects with the Raumlabor collective in Berlin and Gothenburg (2014) and, based in Porto, between 2016 and 2019, undertook professional work as a contributor to the development of hospital, health care clinic and hotel unit projects.
In 2019, took part, as an integrated member of the Centre for Studies in Architecture and Urbanism (CEAU), in the research group “Architecture: Theory, Project and History (ATPH)”.
