Francesco Caneschi (1990) é natural de Firenze (IT) e vive no Porto. O seu projeto de Doutoramento, financiado pela FCT e desenvolvido na FAUP e no DIDA-Dipartimento di Architttura di Firenze, é intitulado “Glocal Tools. Intervenções temporárias de urbanismo e arquitetura. Criticidades e Potencialidades das experiências de coprodução sócio-espaciais”.
É Advisor por CitySpaceArchitecture e membro da Renaissance Socity of America.
Desenvolveu um estágio, financiado pela bolsa da Fundación Arquia, no atelier Aires Mateus Associados. Participou, enquanto bolseiro selecionado pela Reitoria da Universidade de Aveiro(UA), no projeto do Plano de Mobilidade dos Campus da UA. Licenciou-se no Mestrado em Arquitetura em 2018, na FAUP, apresentando a dissertação “Urbanismo Tático & Arquitetura DIY no espaço público. Uma abordagem leve na transformação da cidade”. Em 2016 acabou o curso de Licenciatura em Arquitetura na Faculdade de Arquitetura de Firenze, onde, em 2014 cofundou o coletivo ab-USO, com o qual desenvolveu vários projetos em espaços públicos e comuns.
Em 2014 participou na organização do Workshop de auto construção Ark na Faculdade de arquitetura de Firenze. Colaborou em projetos de Orizzontale e foi assistente do artista Andrea Mizzau no projeto e nas obras do Giardino Torrigiani em Florença.
Interesses de Investigação: arquitetura radical e urbanismo incremental; História e Teoria da Arquitetura.
Francesco Caneschi (1990)was born in Firenze (IT) and lives in Porto. His PhD project, financed by FCT and developed at FAUP and at DIDA-Dipartimento di Architettura di Firenze, is entitled:
“Glocal Tools. Temporary actions in Urbanism and Architecture.
Criticalities and potentialities of socio-spatial co-production experiments”.
He is Advisor for public space at CitySpaceArchitecture and member of the Renaissance Society of America. He concluded an internship, financed by the Arquia Fundation, at Aires Mateus Associados. He participated, as a researcher selected by the Rectorate of the University of Aveiro (UA), in the Mobility MasterPlan of the UA Campus.
He obtained his Master Degree in Architecture in November 2018, at FAUP, presenting the dissertation “Tactical Urbanism & DIY Architecture in the public space. A light approach to transforming the city”.
In 2016 he finished his Bachelor in Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of Firenze, where in 2014 he co-founded the collective ab-USO, with which he developed several projects in public and common spaces.
In 2014 he participated in the organization of the self-build workshop ARK at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Firenze. He collaborated in projects led by Orizzontale and was assistant to the artist Andrea Mizzau for the design and building of the Giardino Torrigiani in Firenze.
Research interests: radical architecture and incremental urbanism; History and Theory of Architecture.
