Pedro Barata Fernandes Gomes de Castro (Porto, 1980)
Mestre em Arquitetura e Cultura Urbana pela Universidade Politécnica da Catalunha/ Centro de Cultura Contemporânea de Barcelona (Master Metropolis), é Arquiteto e Doutorando pela Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade do Porto, onde integra o Centro de Estudos de Arquitectura e Urbanismo.
Foi Professor Estrangeiro Convidado no Curso de Arquitetura e Urbanismo do Centro Universitário Izabela Hendrix, em Belo Horizonte, Brasil.
Foi co-editor da Revista Unidade 7 (selecionada para a Bienal Ibero Americana de Arquitectura), da Fanzine Friendly Fire (que integra a colecção privada do Victoria&Albert Museum, em Londres) e da Revista Verso Anverso (publicada no Brasil).
Com prática profissional independente e premiada desde 2004, teve seus trabalhos representados na Bienal Ibero-Americana de Arquitetura, Trienal de Arquitetura de Lisboa e Bienal de Arquitetura de Veneza.
Pedro Barata Fernandes Gomes de Castro (Porto, 1980)
Master in Architecture and Urban Culture by the Polytechnical University of Catalunya (UPC)/ Contemporary Culture Centre of Barcelona (CCCB – Master Metropolis)), is Architect and Phd Student by the Faculty of Architecture of the Oporto University, where is also a member of the Architecture and Urbanism Research Center.
Invited Foreign Teacher in the Architecture and Urbanism Course of the Izabela Hendrix Universitary Centre, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, between 2013 and 2015
Co-editor of the Unidade 7 magazine (selected for the Ibero-American Architecture Biennal) , of the Friendly Fire fanzine (included in the private collection of the Victoria&Albert Museum, in London), and of the Verso Anverso magazine (published in Brazil).
Starting independent practice from 2004 on, had his works represented in the Ibero-American Architecture Biennal, Lisbon Architecture Triennal and Venice Biennale of Architecture.
