Pedro Alarcão (Coimbra, 1961). Arquitecto (FAUP, 1986), Doutorado em Arquitectura com a tese “Construir na Ruína. A propósito da cidade romanizada de Conimbriga” (FAUP, 2009). Docente da FAUP desde 1993, actualmente é Professor Co-Regente da UC Projecto 2 do Curso Mestrado Integrado (MIARQ), Professor Co-Regente da UC Metodologias de Projecto do Curso de Estudos Avançados em Património Arquitectónico (CEAPA) e Professor Regente da UC Arquitectura, do Perfil B, do Programa de Doutoramento em Arquitectura (PDA). Participa em diversos cursos, conferências e workshops sobre o Património Arquitectónico, organizados por várias instituições, nacionais e estrangeiras. Tem igualmente actividade de projecto nas áreas da habitação unifamiliar, equipamentos e conservação e reabilitação patrimonial. Membro do Conselho Assessor da Revista Arqueologia de la Arquitectura (Revista do Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas del Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación, España). Membro do Conselho Cientifico da FAUP, integra as Comissões Cientificas MIARQ-FAUP e do CEAPA-FAUP. Investigador do CEAU-FAUP, Grupo Património da Arquitectura, da Cidade e do Território (PACT), onde coordena a Linha de Investigação Atlas das Vias e Cidades Antigas de Portugal. Interesses de investigação: arquitectura, património arquitectónico e arqueológico.
Pedro Alarcão (Coimbra, 1961). Architect (FAUP, 1986), PhD in Architecture under the thesis "Building in the Ruin. About the romanised city of Conimbriga” (FAUP, 2009). Teacher at FAUP since 1993, now being the co-head Professor of the Curricular Unit Project 2 of the Integrated Masters' degree in Architecture (MIARQ); Co-head Professor of the Curricular Unit Project Methodologies in the Course of Advanced Studies in Architectural Heritage (CEAPA); and Head Professor of the Curricular Unit Architecture, Profile B, in the Doctorate Programme in Architecture (PDA). Has participated in several courses, conferences and workshops on Architectural Heritage organized by various national and international institutions. Has also developed project activity in the fields of detached housing, equipment, and heritage conservation and rehabilitation. Member of the Advisory Council of the Journal Arqueologia de la Arquitectura (Journal of Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas del Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación, España). Member of the Scientific Board of FAUP, integrating the Scientific Commissions of MIARQ-FAUP, and CEAPA-FAUP. Researcher of the CEAU-FAUP, Architectural Heritage of the City and Territory Group (PACT), coordinating the Research Line Atlas of the Ancient Ways and Tonws of Portugal. Research Interests: architecture, architectural and archaeological heritage.
